Fast and Furious 8 production is underway. The latest to add to the star cast is Helen Mirren who will play a different role from her regular genre. But fans are also going to have another surprise. They are going to see Paul Walker walking side-by-side Vin Diesel in the upcoming sequel.
Walker died during the filming of Fast and Furious 7. It was a great shock for his co-actor and producer of the franchise. Diesel simply could not bring himself to shoot for almost five months. And when he did complete the movie, the actor decided to continue with his dead friend by using Pixels technology.
According to Vin Diesel, the five months period when they stopped shooting following Walker’s accident was the darkest. However, now he feels that the technological resurrection and trickery of his friend makes reality darker. Recently, while discussing Walker’s presence in Fast and Furious 8, the actor stated that he did something that no other actor in Hollywood ever thought or talked about, reports News.
Power Of Pixels Versus People
The 49-year-old actor lamented that he already gave consent to use the power of pixels versus people in the seventh movie. And the same technology has been used to resurrect Paul Walker in the upcoming Fast and Furious 8. What scares Diesel is that an actor can be more valuable than dead.
In this way, anyone can use technology to resurrect a character and complete the movie. And this according to the XXX: Return of Xander Cage actor is very scary. Diesel said that he could not leave the Fast 7 movie and pay the insurance company. But by using the pixels versus people strategy, he proved that you do not need an actor in flesh to complete a film. And this thought itself is troubling the actor.
What do you think? Did Vin Diesel take right decision by resurrecting Paul Walker using Pixels technology for Fast and Furious 8?
