After more than a decade, Vin Diesel is bringing back an iconic character to the big screen! Next month, the actor’s new movie, xXx: Xander Cage, will be released in theaters worldwide. But, before grabbing a popcorn to see the action film, here is a list of the actors set to appear with Diesel.
Samuel L. Jackson
The Avengers actor is coming back to the franchise to reprise his role. First appearing in the 2002 film, Jackson has played the role of Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons. He is an NSA operative who also serves as Xander Cage’s handler. He also appeared in the 2005 sequel and played the same role for Diesel’s replacement.
Donnie Yen
The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story star is expected to play the role of the main villain in xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The role originally went to Jet Li (The Expendables). But the actor, later on, made a departure for unknown reasons.
Deepika Padukone
The Hollywood newcomer has made quite a name for herself in Bollywood. She is expected to play the role of Serena Unger, the leather-clad love-interest to Diesel’s Xander Cage.

Nina Dobrev
The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev joins her first action film. The 27-year-old actress will play the role of Rebecca “Becky,” a dorky hacker who joins Xander Cage’s “dope” team.
Ruby Rose
Ruby Rose’s role is an assassin, Adele Wolff, who will also work with Diesel’s character. In the trailer embedded below, the Orange is the New Black actress is always with a gun and making sexual jokes with Dobrev’s character.
Other Cast Members in xXx: Return of Xander Cage
xXx: Return of Xander Cage also enlisted the involvement of Al Sapienza (House of Cards), Rory McCann (Game of Thrones), former Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, Brazilian professional soccer player Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, Andrey Ivchenko, Kris Wu and UFC Champion Conor McGregor in unspecified roles.
The film will debut on Jan. 20, 2017. Meanwhile, watch the trailer below:
