When “Furious 7” star Paul Walker passed away unfortunately, he left a big space to fill. There is undoubtedly no one who can take his place or reprise his role ever, but there are certainly actors who can star as other characters and become what Paul’s Brian was to Vin’s Dominic Torreto. Here are some.
Scott Eastwood. The “Suicide Squad” star is already a part of the upcoming movie “Furious 8,” which might make many believe that he could be filling in instead of Brian. For all those who remember the last movie, following the untimely demise of Paul, his character Brian was shown going his own way, which rules out the possibility of his return. So maybe Scott’s new character could become Dom’s right-hand man in the franchise that probably has plans to go till the 10th installment.
Bradley Cooper. The reason why Bradley makes a good choice for Vin’s right-hand man in “Furious 8” is because he and Vin already star as best buds Rocket and Groot in “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Watching them pair up in live-action would indeed be a treat for all fans, as neither of them will be playing a raccoon or a tree.
Chris Pine. Chris comes across as a guy who would make a really cool and efficient right-hand man. He already has his massive fan following because of the movies he has starred in or will be starring in. “Furious” franchise will only add another hit to his résumé as surely fans might want to see him do some cool stunts with cars.
Armie Hammer. “The Man From U.N.C.L.E” star would also make a great co-star of Vin Diesel. Going by his looks, even he could play the role of a government agent who regularly collaborates with Dom and team to take down some unruly guys.
Kellan Lutz. Kellan Lutz could play a character quite similar to Dom. In fact, his character would come across more as Dom. And if the makers were to set up the franchise for more installments, he could become the next Dom and lead his own team in the franchise.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Dwayne Johnson shared the first picture of his character from the upcoming movie “Furious 8.” His sharing the picture marks the return of Luke Hobbs to the franchise.
Vulture, in other news, added that The Rock also shared a message along with the post and stated multiple options of his character either going away for good or maybe getting his own spin-off movie. Either way, he is very much involved in the franchise.
