The cast of “Furious 8” is already looking well stocked. With the likes of Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood and others a part of the upcoming movie, things are about to get a lot messier than the previous ones.
With “Furious 6” dealing with Owen Shaw and “Furious 7” dealing with the big bad brother Deckard played by Jason Statham, “Furious 8” will have Dom and his team pitted against Cipher played by Charlize who with the first picture itself has wowed fans of the franchise.
With a “Fast & Furious” movie normally ending up in a head-on brawl, will the upcoming one also show Vin’s Dom taking Deckard and Cipher down in a brutal showdown? Here is why it definitely will.
It is not easy taking down someone who is a trained assassin with just mere words and especially if the guy is someone like Deckard, only the most powerful punches tend to do the job. In the previous movie, Deckard seriously injured Hobbs but was temporarily put down by Dom. With that in mind, he surely will not take things easily and will only seek revenge on the entire team. Going by the consequences of what happened last time, this time Shaw’s attacks will be more brutal.
Man with a purpose. There is no stopping a man with a purpose. Deckard was in the feud because Dom and his team hurt his kid brother and left him to die. Not that he wants anything to do with Dom, but with the latter seriously hurting his brother, Deckard’s only purpose becomes taking Dom’s life. Since Deckard was also sent to prison, this just elevates Deckard’s purpose even more.
Added associates. Deckard will not be alone as Cipher would be there to help him take down Dom. With so many sharks in the battlefield, there is no way Dom and his team are going to take the high road and let bygones be bygones. Dom will suit up, summon his team, ask for Hobbs’ help and go all in into this battle against Deckard.
Other than all the necessary things, this movie will also serve the purpose of establishing other installments. So whatever goes down in this movie, it will have to be in a way that it makes room for other movies in the franchise.
Irish Examiner reported that “Furious 8” star Dwayne Johnson shared the first picture of his character Luke Hobbs and added some hints to it. Going by his caption, there are chances that his character might be going in deep with an origin story because he teased about going back to roots in it.
Hindustan Times, in other news, added that Vin Diesel assembled the cast of the upcoming “Furious 8” movie as the cast shared a picture on the first day of filming. Jason Statham, Kurt Russell and Scott Eastwood are seen in the picture and going by the cast of the upcoming movie, it is going to be one terrific ride.
