xXx: Return of Xander Cage will see Vin Diesel’s return as NSA operative and adventure seeker Xander Cage. After having disappeared and gone underground, the character will be returning with a new mission and new enemies to tackle.
With the help of a team of rogues, the NSA operative will look forward to defeating tyrants who strive to cause panic around the world. However going by the trailer, the movie does remind fans of another Vin Diesel movie that released some time back.
Going by the way the story shapes up and the characters get included, xXx: Return of Xander Cage reminds of Vin Diesel’s Furious 7, which itself is a part of the Fast and Furious film series.
Here are reasons why xXx: Return of Xander Cage is similar to Furious 7.
Story of xXx: Return of Xander Cage
Furious 7 revolved around Dom and team getting roped in by Kurt Russell’s character. His character hired them to defeat a bigger villain.
In xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Samuel Jackson’s character ropes in xXx who later on ropes in a team to take down some tyrant.

Team
In Furious 7, Vin Diesel’s Dom had a team and in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, he again has a team.
As far as Fast and Furious series is concerned, his team was full of experts. In the other one too he has a team of experts helping him.
Outlaws
The team in Furious 7 was made out of outlaws and so is the team in xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
The only difference is that in Furious 7, the team has amnesty while in the other one they do not.
Comicbook.com reported that Vin Diesel kicked off his global tour for the movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage in Brazil. Calling the country as the first stop for the global tour, Vin Diesel announced that he will be in the country with co-stars Ruby Rose and Nina Dobrev.
xXx: Return of Xander Cage will release next year on January 20.
